ABOUT ME ——
Maya Frai is a product builder in consumer AI, drawn to the problems others may have written off. She looks for products with real emotional resonance, and for the net new categories that open up when technology finally becomes good enough to serve them such as global commerce, creativity and personal growth, health and wellness, and education.
She has seen product building from most of its angles: scaling products inside large technology companies, leading 0-to-1 development as an Entrepreneur in Residence, and backing founders as an investor at Greylock Partners and Google Ventures. She has worked with teams of fewer than ten people to global conglomerates.
Alongside this work, she has advanced causes close to her: as a founding advisor to Re-Inc, the women's sports media company built by members of the USWNT to push gender equity forward since 2019, and as founder and managing editor of Let's Hear It, an award-winning publication started in 2019 in the wake of #MeToo. She writes in her spare time, publishing editorial work and poetry. Her first collection "Beautifully Confusing" was published in July 2025, with a second book to be released in December 2026.
Born and raised in Miami to a Brazilian mother and Israeli father, she studied Computer Science at Cornell and is based in San Francisco.
